Over 100,000 military families have members with special needs. These include spouses, children, or dependent parents who require special medical or educational services. These family members have a diagnosed physical, intellectual, or emotional condition. The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) works with these families to address their unique needs.

Teen Aviation Camp

Air Force Services in conjunction with the United States Air Force Academy invite you to experience the Air Force Academy firsthand during the 12th annual Teen Aviation Camp! Camp with be held at the USAFA in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO.

The camp will be held from 2-7 Jun 2012. The camp is for high school students entering their sophomore or junior year in the fall of 2012.

Space Camp

Air Force (AF) Services Child & Youth Programs is excited to sponsor the AF Space Camp Program at the US Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville AL 22-27 Jul 12. Youth will experience, imagine and interact through Space Shuttle mission simulations, tours of the center and the chance to witness first-hand the everyday challenges faced by astronauts. The camp is an inspiring week of fun and enriching space activities. This program is open to family members of Active Duty Military assigned to or living on an AF installation, AF Retired Military, AF Civilian Employees, or activated Air National Guard or AF Reserve.

Officials approve DODEA school lunch price increase
12/1/2011 - DALLAS (AFNS) -- School lunch prices at all overseas Department of Defense Education Activity schools will increase starting Jan. 3, 2012, due to a new federal law and to keep pace with increasing food and operational costs, officials said.
